Swann - The New Classics

In 2007, two friends, Thibault de Drouas and Vincent Colin (which one is Swann, and which is Oscar?) decided to set up a new business venture in the field of made-to-measure shirts, a halfway house between ready-to-wear and fully bespoke, high-end tailoring, which was too intimidating for their tastes. Three years later, they have a loyal customer base, and an online store with a reliable system for taking measurements, as well as a first physical store of shirts in Paris’s Rue de l’Arcade. They make no claims about revolutionising the world of men’s shirts, but instead focus on meeting a growing demand for personalised products that offer excellent quality at the price point.

Magazine Monsieur - Swann Les Néo-Classiques

Their style is best described as modern-classic. While a restrained look is a given, the shirts have a fitted cut and can be complemented by a range of trendy details such as a shirt placket in a contrasting colour, or club, Mandarin or cutaway collars. Nonetheless, the typical shirt worn by a banker or a conservative septuagenarian from the Automobile Club is well within their capabilities. 95% of their fabrics are made from two-ply pure cotton with a compact thread, making the shirt easier to maintain. Manufacturing is even more straightforward – everything is made in France. Another bonus is the label’s consultative sales approach, coupled with a friendly attitude. From €69 for a single-ply shirt, €169 for super 140 fabric. Online or in store. Delivery time: two to three weeks.
