Band Collar

The band collar is generally used for smart casual shirts or summer shirts. It has no point and is particularly comfortable to wear since it is hardly felt. This collar adapts well to the polo (over-the-head) or “tunic” style shirts which do not have buttons all the way down the front and must be pulled over the head.

The Washington collar has hidden buttons under the points and holds its shape very well. Since the buttons on the points are hidden it can be worn more formally than a standard button-down collar. This is a practical and multi-purpose collar.
